Railways official to visit state

IMPHAL, Dec 11: Additional Chief Secretary Commissioner cum DIG, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Guwahati SZ Samuel is visiting the state capital to apprise Manipur government on the deployment of more security forces at the work site of Jiri – Tupul railway project.
According to a highly placed official source, Addl. CSC cum DIG, RPF, Guwahati will be arriving at  Imphal on December 13 and will proceed to MSRTC complex, Moirnagkhom where he will halt till leaving Imphal on December 18 next.
The official source further mentioned that the visiting RPF, DIG will initially held a meeting with various officials of the state including engineers and security officials at Imphal regarding security related problems facing the employees and official deployed in construction of the ongoing Jiri-Tupul railway line project.
The visiting officer of RPF will conduct site visit at Noneh and other camps upto the Tunnel site and will return to Imphal on December 16.
Later on December 17, the visiting DIG, RPF will have meeting with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and DGP Manipur Y Joykumar at Imphal to apprise the requirement of more forces at the work sites, the official source added.
