Sharp launches four cell phone models in grand show

IMPHAL, Dec 30: One of the world’s leading electronics company “Sharp” declared it will make special effort to recruit of young talented professionals from the North-East
This was stated by the managing director of Sharp Business Systems (India) Limited, Sunil K. Sinha during an interaction with mediapersons at the launching function of the company’s mobile phones held yesterday at Hotel Classic, North AOC, Imphal.
The launch was amidst much fanfare including an impressive ramp show with attractive professional models introducing the new mobile phones.
The managing director said Sharp Company has decided to launch its marketing operations in the North-East with the aim of rendering commendable service to the consumers with its wide range home appliances, photocopier, LCD displays, mobile phones and other electronic products. The North-East currently contributes about 17 percent of the total company’s market share in India, he noted.
Sunil stated that the company has landed in Manipur with a firm commitment to serve the people despite of the prevailing insurgency and other problems.
During yesterday’s function Sharp Company has launched four models of mobile phones in the state, and the product profile indicate they are targetted mainly at the youths.
The newly introduced models are: Blink, Alice, Tango and Cyborg, some of which have compelling features such as full touch LCD, screen, shortcut to social networking services, LED illumination, bluetooth, FM radio, dual SIM facility and easy camera shot. The price of these cell phone ranges from Rs 6000 to Rs 17000.
Further elaborating on the mobile phones, the managing director Sunil Sinha stated that the phone models are one of its kind, unique and appealing to catch the eye of the consumers who are looking for stylish cell phones packed with lots of interesting features.
The company’s solar-powered mobile phones are making a big hit in China and very soon such mobile phones will also be available in India at an affordable price, he stated.
The distribution of Sharp mobile phones in Manipur will be handled by Sadananda Rajkumar of Symphony Computers.
