Smart card health facility soon: Parijat

IMPHAL, Dec 23: The state government is planning to include government hospitals for rendering health care service to the labourers through smart card facility, stated labour and employment minister Ph. Parijat today while replying to a query raised by MLA of Khurai assembly constituency, Dr, Ng. Bijoy during question and answer hour of the winter session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The labour and employment minister further stated that the state government has set up certain criteria for empanelment of hospitals for RSBY which include facilities for telephone, fax, 64 kbps internet connectivity, personal computers, two smart card readers, fingerprint verification machine, x-ray and ECG machines etc.
Replying to another supplementary question raised by MLA Ng. Bijoy, minister Parijat further said that the scheme of RSBY has been done in some private hospitals of the state on trial basis and the state government will chalk out plans and policies for strict implementation of the scheme.
Answering to a query raised by MLA V. Hangkhalian, the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi who also holds the portfolio of finance department said that the regularization of 98 contract employees of DRDA in under process and in due course of time the matter will be finalized.
The Chief Minister, replying to a query of MLA Doukhomang Khongsai, stated that the proposals for the construction of RCC bridge over Ithoi river at Molkon, Senapati district and Composite water supply scheme at Mongjamg, Sadar Hills were included in the supplementary list for 2009-10 under NLCPR.
Replying to a query raised by Radhabinod Koijam regarding the shortage of SK oil in the state, the CAF & PD minister stated that the shortage of SK oil is mainly due to the IOC and it will be distributed to the public as and when adequate stock is available at IOC Depot, Imphal.
The works minister K. Ranjit, answering to MLA N. Mangi’s query, stated that construction of Kumbi has been completed and it is ready for inauguration. The Saiton Bridge will be inaugurated by March 2011.
