IMPHAL, Dec 21: The Deputy Commissioner Chandel district, H. Dilip Singh has distributed altogether 70 solar lanterns to the successful candidates of the district during the concluded High School Leaving Certificate examination, 2009.
The solar lanterns were distributed inside the office chamber of the DC yesterday. Speaking during the programme the DC said that the lantern is a part of programme to encourage student community adding it will benefit for students far flung area without electricity.
