Vehicle lifting racket busted, 3 stolen vehicles recovered

IMPHAL, Dec 11: Special investigation team on two wheeler lifters under the supervision of Imphal East police SP Radheshyam, OC Geetchandra and SDPO Birbabu, along with a team of Imphal East police led by SI Kh Babumacha and ASI Subir Ahmad arrested two 2-wheeler-lifter and able to recover three vehicle from Borayangbi and Thanga area.

The arrested two wheeler lifters are identified as Md Nijamuddin 36 yrs of Thoubal Leishangthem and Md. Nasirkhan 30 yrs son of Porayangbi Wangoo under Kumbi police station in Bishnupur district.

According to Imphal East police, Md Nijamuddin was arrested by the team on November 30 from Hatta Orient Hotel along with a master key used in lifting of two-wheeler from various places of Imphal east district. On further interrogation, the police team arrested Md. Nasirkhan from his residence.

From Md. Nasirkhan’s discloser, the team along with the support of CDOs posted at Thanga recovered one Honda Splendor black in colour (no bearing number) and one Honda Activa (silver) bearing number MN01/Q/6496 from Borayangbi and Thanga area.

Suspicious of more vehicle hiding in the area, the police team continue their search operation and abled to recover one Hero Punch bearing number MN01/8700 from the area.

The SP Imphal East appeal owner of the vehicles to claim their vehicle.
