Vijay Diwas observed

IMPHAL, Dec 16: As observed in other parts of the country, the “Vijay Diwas” was observed today in the state at the Secretariat (South Block) with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering at the observation, the Chief Minister recalled the supreme sacrifice made by the valiant soldiers of the country in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. He also lauded the soldiers for their courage and sacrifice made for sake of people of the country.
The “Vijay Diwas” is a red letter day for the Indian Army which had shown great courage and might in the Indo-Pak war of 1971.
The state level observation was also attended by works minister K Ranjit, DGP Y. Joykumar, chief secretary DS Poonia and other officials of state government.
