MOREH, Dec 4: World AIDS Day was organized today at the conference hall of Meitei Council Moreh (MCM) under the theme “ Unniversal Access and Human rights.. The observation jointly organised by the MLSS, New Generation, OSD & OSOM which are the partners of the Manipur Aids Control Socity (MACS).
The observation today was attended by N Shyamjai Singh, DDTI, MACS, as chief guest and Kh Joykumar Singh Medical Officer in charge ACC, Moreh as functional president.
N Shyamjai Singh, DDTI, MACS attending as chief of the observation today drawn the attention of the civil society organisations and NGOs operating in the Moreh border town need to be sincere and active preventing further transnmission of HIV/AIDS and appealed people of the Moreh to come forward in any activities directly to the MACS for any desirable preventive measures to control the increasing problems of HIV/AIDS.
He opined that the war against the HIV/AIDS in the region could be successful with a joint effort of all section of the society. Observation World AIDS Day at vulnerable areas like Moreh border town is very much important, he addded
