AMSGO decries killing of BSEM chairman

IMPHAL, Jan 14: All Manipur Student Guardians’ Organization (AMSGO) has strongly condemned the act of killing the chairman of Board of Secondary Education Manipur, Dr. N. Kunjabihari in his office-chamber on January 11.
Speaking to mediapersons today, the advisor of AMSGO, N. Tomba stated that there is apprehension of losing an academic year of the students who are going to appear the HSLC examination in March this year in the aftermath of killing the chairman Dr. Kunjabihari. The people from all sections of the society should condemn the gruesome act which is very much against humanity and the society.
He further appealed to all concerned to make clarifications on his killing and make education a free zone.
Senior advocate Rk Nokulsana stated that emergency can be imposed if the state government fails to maintain proper law and order as per article 356 of the Indian Constitution. The portfolio of home department should have been assigned to some capable person other than the Chief Minister, he noted.
A two-minute silence was also observed.
