IMPHAL, Jan 29: The Wildlife Wing of Forest Department, Manipur with local bodies and Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai is conducting water bird census in Loktak and associated wetlands on February 2, 2011, informed a press release issued by the Deputy Conservator of Forest, Park and Sanctuary, L. Joykumar.
It further informed the people living in and around Loktak Lake is requested not to lay their fishing nets and to stay away from the lake on the said day so as to enable the department to conduct the water bird census successfully.
