    IMPHAL Jan 10: The Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) in a press release by the publicity secretary of the organization S Bembem states that the wayward students who vandalized school property in the November 14 incident and perpetrated homosexuality on the junior students of Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya should be awarded befitting punishment.
    The release states that the students have violated in such a manner unbecoming of students and they should be held accountable for the losses incurred  by the school.
    Further the DC Imphal west who is also the chairman of the school should refrain from making biased decisions and to stop trying to rope in the guilty students. DESAM is against such interest and the guilty students should be punished, the statement said.
    The parents of the students should refrain from making false statements and stop playing a divide and rule policy among student organizations in the matter, the release stated.
