DPC faced candidates sets January 31 as deadline for government to meet demands

IMPHAL, Jan 27: The All Manipur DPC Faced Candidates Association for Primary Teacher 2006 has today set January 31 as the deadline before which the government should consider and give reply to their demands or face various forms of agitation from the association.
Th Subhash, president of the association speaking to mediapersons during a press conference at the Manipur Press Club today evening stated that even though the government had advertised for regular post to primary teachers in 2006, for which they had appeared for the said exam, the government backtracked on their words and announced on January 13 this year that the DPC faced candidates will be appointed on contract basis to the said post of primary teacher.
He has further maintained that the education department was rocked by a scandal last year regarding the 2006 DPC for primary teacher with the then director of the education department was transferred somewhere else and a review committee was formed regarding the issue. However the review committee is yet to submit its report till date.
The Association has further warned that in the face of failure from the side of concern authorities to declare the result to the DPC of primary teachers which has been holding the future of more than 1500 candidates by January 31, the association will seek information from the concerned authorities by filing RTI applications.
