NAMA delegation in PDB 2011
Parvasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), the flagship event of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, brings together the overseas Indian community over a three-day period from 7-9 January every year. The Ninth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention is being held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi in January 2011.
A special feature in this PBD is the participation of Eight North-Eastern states of India as state partners, along with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. This will add a new dimension to the PBD and showcase a unique part of our great country.
NAMA (North American Manipur Association) delegate on invitation from the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs will participate in a discussion panel on Diaspora role models from North East, Success Stories at 1030 – 1230 hrs on Friday 07 January 2011. We request interested people specially students and young professionals to participate in the conference.
The delegate will also submit a memorandum relating to issues and development plans of Manipur to the honorable Prime Minister of India, a copy of the memorandum will be submitted to Union Home Minister, DoNER Minister and the Chief Minister of Manipur,.
