IMPHAL, Jan 12: A sit in protest was held today decrying the bomb attack triggered at the residence of Assistant Administration Officer of Manipur Development Society (MDS) last night at around 7:30 pm.
The officer is identified to be one Sougrakpam Ranjit, 47, s/o (L) Cokul of Yumnam Leikai Lairembi Maning. The protest was organized by family members and meira paibis of the locality.
While talking to media persons during the protest the victim’s wife, Mohini, disclosed that there had been no individual threat or monetary demand of any sort from any corner adding she assumed that the attacked could have been related with departmental affairs.
Mohini further appealed concerned individuals or organization not to repeat such incident in the future.
