IMPHAL Jan 24: A combined team of 33 AR and 116 Bn. BSF arrested one KYKL activist from Mayang Langjing Bazar namely Yumnam Ibochou Singh, 41, S/o Tomchou of Mayang Langjing Taning yesterday at around 6.30 pm.
On spot verification, the cadre disclosed that he joined the outfit through one Naocha, Ddistrict Commander in charge of Imphal West in June 2010 and was assigned to extort money from brick fields in Mayang Langjing area.
In another incident, troops of 12 Maratha Light Infantry launched an operation at Irong Mayai Leikai in the wee hours today and arrested a cadre of PULF (Azad) group. The arrested person is identified as one Md Amzad Khan, 25, S/o Mahamuddin of Irong Mayai Leikai, stated a press release by PRO (AR ).
