    IMPHAL, Feb 7: An excursion trip to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur for the children of Bishnupur District, Manipur has been organised by 33 Assam Rifles of Logtak Brigade under Red Shield Division. 20 Children with 5 teachers along with an Officer of 33 Assam Rifles have commenced the journey from Bishnupur on morning of February 7, 2011.
    Brigadier N J George, Commander Logtak Brigade flagged off the tour from Bishnupur. He wished the children a highly rewarding trip and emphasized that such steps would help in restoring peace and harmony in Manipur and the experience will help in widening the horizons of the children. The ceremony was attended by locals from surrounding areas and parents of the children.
    The students will travel by road to Dimapur. They will further move to New Delhi by Rajdhani Express. On arrival at New Delhi, they will visit different places like Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, Lal Quila, India Gate, Jantar Mantar, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Pragati Maidan.
    Thereafter, the students will move to Agra by road and shall visit Taj Mahal and will further move to Jaipur by road and shall do sightseeing of City Palace, Jal Mahal and Amer Fort.
    The party will return to New Delhi by road from Jaipur and will subsequently return back to Dimapur. Parents and locals have expressed their gratitude to the Army for the nobel initiative.
