Archery contest

IMPHAL, Feb 18: A mega contest in archery for boys and girls between the age group of 10 to 13 years will be held at Koirangei Airfield.  The contest will be held over four weeks with weekly challenge rounds in March, Aptly christened as `Bulls Eye Archery Challenge`, the aim of this competition is to spot budding young talents in archery.  The selected archers will be handed over to Manipur Archery Association for further grooming so that they can be nurtured to excel at the national and international level.
The `Bulls Eye Challenge` final winners in boys and girls categories will take away three lakhs of rupees worth cash prizes.
Those desirous of  participating in the contest may handover their bio-data including address, contact numbers and proof of age at 165 TA Battalion of Koirengei Airfield.  The short listing of the participants will be from 20 February to 27 February 2011.  The mega event being sponsored by Red Shield Division with support from Manipur Archery Association will be held on Sundays in March 2011 to make it convenient for those desirous of witnessing the event. All well wishers, relatives, friends and sports lovers are welcome to witness the show.
