Bridge of Hope distributes free school bags

IMPHAL, Feb 10: Bridge of Hope Manipur, A child care project of Believers Church, in continuation of its Child Welfare Program conducted School bag Distribution Program today under the supervision of Br. T. Dongchinmang Regional Coordinator, at Kanglatongbi and Singda Village in Sadar Hills, Senapati district. School Bags are distributed free of cost to needy students. In both the places the occasions are marked by mammoth attendance of the beneficiary students from various schools accompanied by their parents and locals. Altogether 600 School Bags have been distributed so far including the distribution program held yesterday at Bangla and Bishnupur.
Apart from this activity, Bridge of Hope has been providing School Supplies items like pencils, erasers, sharpener, scale, note books etc every month. Text Books and School Uniforms are also provided to the children every year as a part of its child development activity. Besides school supplies, hygiene supplies like bathing soap, washing soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair oil, body powder etc are also provided along with school supplies.
Today`s program has been carried out by the Project Center staff with active participation of staff from its administrative office located in Imphal.
Bridge of Hope is presently catering to over 2000 needy children at Bangla, Bishnupur, Waikhong,Wangbal, Wangoo, Thangalawai, Kanglatongbi, Khordak, Nongpok Keithelmanbi, ,Lairok Vaiphei, Chandrakhong, Singda, Langmeithet, Moreh, Gunphai, and Lamding.
The Program will be carried out in the entire place in a phase wise manner within this month. It will be benefited by over 2000 needy students.
