Human capital should be raised for proper development: Ng. Bijoy

IMPHAL, Feb 3: The MLA of Khurai assembly constituency, Dr. Ng. Bijoy has emphasized on the need to raise human capital for bringing proper development in the state.
Dr. Bijoy stated this during the inauguration of the new building of Khurai Heinoumakhong Primary Health Sub-Centre today.
He further maintained that health and education are the most important aspects of the society and so the people of the state should have good health and proper education so as to become human capitals for the welfare and development of the society.
Bijoy also laid emphasis on the need for establishing a knowledge-based society to usher the state to a new era of positive change and development.
He further appealed to the staffs of the PHSC to give dedicated service to the public and help to raise the health conditions of the people.
The director of family welfare department, Dr. L. Joykumar stated that the department has been organizing regular routine immunization programmes in view of uplifting the health condition of the general population of the state. In due course of time vaccination for Hepatitis-B will also be included in the routine immunization programme.
He also advised the people not to undergo sex-determination test of the foetus so as to equalize the differences in the sex-ratio.
Dr. Joykumar further appealed to the people to avail medical facilities at various health centres under NHRM and uplift the health condition of the state.
The inauguration function was also attended by Dr. Gulapi, additional director of family welfare department, Dr. Momota Mukherjee, CMO of Imphal East and Pradhan Jiten.
