IMPHAL, Feb 7: Troops of 33 Assam Rifles under Logtak Brigade of Red Shield Division alongwith Bishnupur Police apprehended four women on February 5 from Kumbi Terakhong during routine checking.
According to an official release of the PRO, PIB Defence Wing Imphal, the arrested persons were identified as Erom Suhasni Devi, 42, wife of T Kunjo Singh of Thoubal Nimombam Awang Leikai, Waikhong Maipokpi, 65, wife of W Yomba alias Ganeshwor of Thoubal Wangma Taba, Thokchem Sarojni Devi, 65, wife of Th Ibopishak of Thanga Bok Part-I and Thaklenbam Ibeyamam, 46, wife of Rajen Singh of Wangu Sandan Khong Awang Leikai.
The release further mentioned that, Rs. 60,000/-(Rupees sixty thousand) and four mobiles were recovered from the apprehended women. The women were carrying the money for compensation to a recently killed terrorist of PLA at Laimaram. The recovered items and apprehendees have been booked at Kumbi Police Station the release added.
