IMPHAL Feb 7: Nupi Samaj and Youth Guidance Club of Churachandpur held a public meeting at Khuga Tampak Awang Laibung under the topic “Manipur India Muknaba and Muknaba asi wakheinaba meeyam na saruk yabaâ€yesterday.
The public meeting was attended by Yumnam Ahangbi ,advisor of Nupi Samaj ,Gurumayum Landhoni ,president of Nupi Samaj, social worker Yaipha Yumnam, Yumnam Bidyababu, Laishram Chandrahas and general secretary of Nupi Samaj Th Ramani.
General secretary of UPF Oinam Bikramjit and former president of AMSU Sinam Rakhesh attended as the resource persons.
Bikramjit in his address stated the need to hold a plebiscite to bring an end to the conflict situation , the public should acknowledge the means and play the significant role in bringing about an end to the present state of turmoil ,he stated.
Sinam Prakash also emphasized on the need of public support to curb the violation of human rights perpetrated in the state.
