Power supply likely to improve

IMPPHAL, Feb 14: Existing irregularities of power supply in the state is likely to improve with completion of the installation of 132 KV lines connecting Dimapur and Imphal undertaken by the Power Grid Corporation.

Stating this, the official concern of the Power Grid Corporation of India, told IFP that, a 12 member maintenance and staffs team from the Power Grid Corporation of India have visited the state and started their keen surveillance from February 2 and will continue their surveillance for the installations of the towers of the said additional KV lines at Sapermeina, Kangpokpi,Myang Imphal, Senapati District head quarter,Karong, Khongnem,Lairou,Maram,Tadubi, and Mao areas.

The source further mentioned that, the recent initiative taken up by the power Grid Corporation of the India to install a new dedicated KV lines for the state was taken up under the supervision of the Ministry of DoNEER ministry with an objective of total electrifications by 2012.
