IMPHAL, Feb 6: The Council of Teachers’ Association (COTA) has informed that above 200 teachers of the Konthoujam area is going to take an organized decision with regards to the approaching bye election to the Konthoujam Assembly constituency.
A statement of the COTA issued in this relation however failed to mention the decision it is going to take.
The decision would be taken in a meeting schedule to be held on February 7, at about 11:30 am at Heigrujam High School.
Further it hinted that the meet will discuss on issues of the candidates for the bye election who are campaigning with show of their power and money overlooking the suffering of the teachers especially the 124 jailed teachers, failure of acknowledgement on the issue of 6th pay commission etc.
