Trinamool decries excessive police behaviour

IMPHAL, Feb 12: The president of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress, Kim Gangte has decried the excessive behaviour of Manipur Police Commandos for harassing the non-Congress workers of Konthoujam assembly constituency.
Speaking to media-persons today, Kim stated that the police commandos at the behest of Congress leaders harassed the candidate and workers of Trinamool Congressand. Due to this the candidate K. Sharat could not even stay peacefully at his residence, she said.
Formal complaints have also been made from the side of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress to the Election Commission of India, Chief Electoral Officer and ADGP of Manipur regarding the excessive and undisciplined behavior of the police commandos  at Konthoujam area.
Kim further stated that excessive use of state machineries by the Congress government in connection with the bye-election is a sheer violation of code of conduct and hence the concerned authority should take up actions against the Congress Party.
