Kuki civil bodies flay CRA

    IMPHAL, March 13: The so called “Civil Rights Alert” (CRA) is intriguing animosity and disunity among the Kukis living in the Chandel district alleged several Kuki Civil bodies today.

    A press conference was held in this regards at Pallel today, which was attended by representatives of the Kuki Peoples’ Forum (KPF), Tengnoupal Assembly Constituency Kuki Chiefs Association and Chandel Assembly Constituency Kuki Chief Association etc.
    While talking to media persons Robert, spokesperson of KPF, pointed out that the KPF, Thadou Students Association (TSA), Thadou Tribe Council, KSO, Kuki Women for Human Rights, the chiefs association etc are some noted civil bodies which has been actively and in full collaboration with each other working in the district for decades. But recently a group so called “Civil Rights Alerts” (CRA) came out of nowhere and has been spreading animosity and disunity among the Kukis within the district through locally dailies.

    He further revealed that none of the Kuki civil bodies working in the district have any knowledge and records of existence of the so called CRA and its publicity secretary, Jathang Haokip.

    It claimed that the genuine CSO of the district consider the CRA as a fake and baseless organization and all it has been highlighting so far.

    He further declared that incase the CRA does exist, it should approached the district chiefs’ bodies or KPF within three days so that a discussion could be convened within a framework and enable the CRA to exist alongwith the other civil bodies of the district.
