IMPHAL, Mar 28: A meet on Plebiscite was held today at the Moirang Hanuba Community Hall jointly organised by the Moirang Hanuba Youth Development Club and Moirang Hanuba Nupi Chaokhat Khongthan Lamjing Marup Moirang.
The meet was attended by Thokchom (O) Ramani, general secretary, Nupi Samaj and Naorem Mema, president Moirang Hanuba Nupi Chaokhat Khongthang Lamjing Marup, as the president, chief guest.
At the same time, Oinam Bikramjit, general secretary United People’s Front (UPF), L Jadu, former president All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU), attended the function as resource persons.
After deliberately enlightening the gathering on the issue of the need of peoples’ participation on the ongoing conflict between by resource persons and dignitaries, the meet also adopted three resolutions.
The first resolution demanded to conduct plebiscite to ensure peoples’ participation in the arm conflict between India and Manipur. The second resolution demanded the authority concerned to hand over the cace of UNLF chairman RK. Sanayami and others, to the Government of Manipur. The third resolution further demands to call on the UN and other human to intervene in the matter to organize plebiscite in Manipur.

IMPHAL, March 1: A public meeting was held today on the issue of “Plebiscite” at Yairipok Khoiom Laimang organized by the Khoirom Nupi Marup.

The meet was participated by Konsam Juboti Devi, retd. headmistress Yairipok Khoirom Khongmapal Girls LP School, as the functional president, Kangjam (O) Thasana Leima president, Thoubal district United Womens’ Development Committee as chief guest and Wairakpam Naba, former Pradhan Leirongthel Ningel Gram Panchayat Keisham ISO member Yairipok Khoirom Gram Panchayat and Thangjam Mohen, Member Yairipok Khoirom Gram Pancahyat as the guest of honour.

UPF secretary general, O. Bikramjit and vice president NIPCO K. Sunil also attended the function as resource persons.

The resources persons, chief guest, guest of honour who attended the function highlighted on the need for the people’s participation in a discourse on the confrontation between Manipur and India.
