IMPHAL March 25: “Mirel Mashingha”, a mime play based on the struggle of Irom Sharmila will be shown at Kolkota and Kerela. The play is performed by the Kanglei Mime Theatre Repertory and written and directed by Y Sadananda.
The Kolkotta show is scheduled on March 26 at the EZCC complex and later at Kozikhode, Kerela on March 30. A crew of 25 members has left the state today for Kolkotta.
The play was nominated for the META Award and was awarded best script and best sound. The play also saw participation in the National School of Drama Festival in 2009.
