IMPHAL, March 13: Troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation along NH-39 (Tegnoupal) and apprehended one Myanmarese national from a Maruti van bearing registration No MN 014A 3950 traveling without proper documents from Imphal to Moreh via NH-39 at around 6:00 pm on March 12.
The individual is identified as Md. Rafique, 20 years, s/o Md Foriyas of Ikepe Village, Abes (PO) Khondo District, Myanmar, who was handed over to Tegnoupal Police station, said a press release of PRO IGAR (S).
