One day constituency level convention

    IMPHAL, Mar 6: A one day Constituency Level Convention was held today at Keisampat Keisam Leikai, (Lairembi Hall) jointly organized by the Manipur Legislators’ Forum on HIV & AIDS (MLFA) and PLHA community (Keisamthong A.C.).
    The convention was attended by the Health & Family Welfare and Co-operation minister L. Jayentakumar, as chief guest, H. Ibochou Singh, president, Keisamthong Kendra, congress committee, as president and S. Sunil (KAKA) Singh, Councilor, W/9, M. Joy Singh, Councilor W/11, A. (O) Usharani Devi, Councilor W/12 and N. Raghu Singh, Councilor Ward no. 13 attended the convention as guest of honour respectively.
    While addressing the convention, the Health & Family Welfare minister said that the state has seen drastic changes during the last 25 years.
    While elaborating the changes, he said sports scenario has been very much improving however the law and order situation is getting worse. He claimed that the youngster are fast copying the western lifestyle but in a bad way.
    This is also another reason for the spread of HIV/AIDS.
    The Minister appealed those who are living with the virus and hiding to come out openly administering necessary treatment before it is too late.
    The minister assured to give full support of medical assistance and ART facilities for the person living with HIV/AIDS and other necessary items in the Keishamthong assembly. Besides the minister assured to establish an ART centre and nutrition centre for the PLHA in the Keishamthong constituency.
