KOHIMA, Mar 16 (NEPS): The rapist of January 3 Kirkuma rape incident had surrendered to Phek Police two days ago.
Confirming this to NEPS here today, Nagaland DGP K Kire said the rapist who had been avoiding arrest since the incident on January 3 was brought to Phek Police by his relatives and surrendered to them two days ago.
Denying the charges that the police did not act seriously to nap the rapist, the DGP said the police had been putting every possible effort to trace out the rapist right from day one.
