South East Asian trade meet held

    IMPHAL March 25: A meeting deliberating on the economic feasibility of trade potential and connectivity between India, Mayanmar and Thailand was held today at the Manipur Secretariat conference hall. The meeting was presided by Chief Secretary DS Poonia and 12 visiting members of the Thailand delegation team including Tharadol Thongrnang who is in charge of the Thai-Myanmar border trade and representing the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand.
    The chief secretary DS Poonia while speaking at the meeting stated that new infrastructures are being built to better facilitate the trade and commerce with India and the rest of South East Asia. He stated that as part of the developmental schemes, an integrated check post is being constructed at Moreh presently which will benefit the flow of business. principal secretary ,Trade and Commerce O Nabakishore gave a presentation titled “Manipur,the gateway to south east asian nations”.
