UKLF greets public on 15th Raising Day

IMPHAL, March 28: The under ground group United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has extended its heartiest greetings to all the tribal leaders, chiefs, church leaders, leaders of civil societies, public leaders and all citizens of the Kuki/Khulmi community on the eve of 15th Raising Day of the outfit which will be celebrated on March 29.

SS Haokip, commander-in-chief of the UKLF while extending his greeting messages in connection with the 15th Raising Day of the outfit urged upon the soldiers of the Kuki Army to carry forward the cause ever until their objective is achieved inspite of momentary trials and setbacks.

The statement further mentioned that, let us remember the saying “when the going is tough only the tough gets going” and anything worthwhile is to be achieved for the nation, it has to come with a price, a price even costly.

It has further paid revolutionary salute to all fallen soldiers of the Kuki army and their families.

It is also mentioned that, the Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the Government of India and Manipur, implored to all UKLF Revolutionary comrades of SoO Singatories, learned intellectuals, politicians, Social Workers, Leaders of several Kuki Civil Civil Society societies, Church leaders, village chiefs etc. as to what would be the best political step for them under the provision of the Indian Constitution, the statement added.

The of UKLF C-in-C further mentioned that the proposal of Kuki (Khulmi) Development Council with rooms for delimitation of Assembly Constituencies, bifurcation of the Districts and Sub-Divisions, reserved Lok Sabha Seat etc. to accommodate aspirations of the different constituents tribes, for the purpose of administrative convenience and acceleration of development in the hill area is open to positive criticism, suggestion and advice provided it has the potential to deliver the political aspiration and socio-economic needs of the Kuki people.

The statement further appealed for all to forgive and forget all the past misdeeds and dissatisfaction, “Sink all Differences” for a better tomorrow, the statement added.
