Was eve teasing behind the gun violence which killed Irom Rozer?

IMPHAL March 29: The investigation into the fatal gun violence which led to the death of a young man, Irom Rozer, is getting a little more curious.
Police investigation report available with IFP now indicate there were three cars involved in the fracas and not just two as the police briefings so far suggested.
Investigation has now thrown many unusual light.
With relevant documents pertaining to the case, IFP found out that Ajay along with his friends were traveling along Airport road on his Bolero jeep on March 20 at around 2 pm. The vehicle was driven by Ajay’s friend, Soram Raj Singh while Thongbam Anilkumar,Puyam Siddhartha, Bachaspatimayum Roshinikumar were seated at the back.
The Bolero jeep overtook one Alto car and a Hyundai I-20 car driving together near Ghari Lamkhai, both cars were driving just behind a two wheeler with two girls riding on it and headed in the same direction.
The Bolero jeep overtook both vehicles (the Alto car and the Hyundai I-20) and drove parallel to the two girls and teased them. At the moment, the I-20 blew long repeated horns and flashing front headlights tried to overtake the Bolero and subsequently overtook it. The I-20 was driving in front of the Bolero jeep and the Alto car followed behind the jeep. The I -20 car driven by Rozer slowed down in front of the Bolero jeep, Ajay and his companions irked, shouted at Rozer and his friends.
Following the events, The Bolero also swerved next to the I-20 and Ajay took out his license gun, cocked it and fired towards the car, the bullet hit Rozer who was driving the I-20 car. After the incident, Ajay and his companions took shelter at Ajay’s Luwangsangbam residence.
As per police record, the brief factsheet of the case is that on March 20, Irom Lokendro, 50, s/o late Gulap Singh of Wangkhei Angom Leikai lodged a written report with the officer in charge of Singjamei police station that his son Irom Rozer, 21, was proceeding towards Imphal Airport along Tiddim Road along with his four of his friends in his car (MN1W/7482),some unknown armed persons numbering about 4/5 was coming from the same direction in a black Bolero jeep (MNO3P-2417) and fired upon his son who was driving the car at Ghari village, opposite to a Girls hostel without any reason. As a result of which his son sustained bullet injury on his neck and succumbed to his injury on the way to the RIMS hospital.
During police investigation, the complainant (Lokendro) was examined very carefully and minutely in connection with the case and fully corroborated with the Original Ejahar (complaint copy) lodged by himself. The investigating officer also inspected the place of occurrence and prepared the rough sketch map with index, and also recovered the I -20(white),one grey colored round neck blood stained T shirt, one fired cartridge(empty) with the marking S&B 7.62 x 23 and the bullet. The evidence was produced by Guruaribam Bidyachandra Sharma of Thangmeiband Hijam Diwan Leikai at RIMS casualty at around 5.15 pm , Bidyachandra is a friend of the deceased and was sitting with Rozer at the front seat at the time of the incident.
Later, Ajay along with his four friends surrendered before Th Vikramjit,SDPO of Singjamei police station.One M-20 pistol, one magazine with 6 live rounds.one Bolero black jeep and one gun license bearing number 722/DM-IE was produced by N Ajay and they were taken into police custody till March 26.
The seized exhibits along with stained fabric from the I-20 car have been forwarded to additional director of Forensic Science Laboratory for expert opinion. Also, according to Dr. H Nabachandra, professor and head of department of Forensic Medicine,RIMS, opined that Rozer died due to injury to spinal cord at the neck and was homicidal in nature.
It may be mentioned that the Ajay and his friends have been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days from March 26. Later, the case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation following a cabinet meeting held yesterday.
