Work for electrification of Tamei in progress: CM

IMPHAL, Mar 9: The work order for electrification of un-electrified village under RGGVY in Tamei and Tausem has been issued by the power department, the Chief Minister answering a question on behalf of the power minister stated in the house today. To the question by Awangbow Newmai, the Chief Minister further stated that, under the 10th Plan Scheme work is taken up and scheduled for  completion by December 2010, however the power department has sought extension up to March 2011.
He further replied that the name of the company to whom the work has been allocated are Package-B (H.T,L.T line DT, BPL connection works)- MS Utkal Galvaniser Limited Plot N. 232, Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswas- 751007 Orissa and the Package –C (DT metering works) – MS Quivive Electrical, E304, S.G.M. Nagar Sector-48 Faridabad-121001 and M/S Credent Engg and Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. B-129, Arjun Nagar New Delhi-110029 (JV).
About the work progress till date he added that under the scheme, 740 villages have been electrified in Tamei and Tousem sub-division, there is one un electrified  village, 16 villages have been de electrified and work on 14 villages have been intensified.
On another question raised by the MLA N. Mangi the Health and Family Welfare minister L. Jayentakumar replied that for the construction of Sandangkhong PHSC and Pombikhong Primary Health Sub-Centre under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) the department have already put up a proposal in the State Project Implementation Plan, 2011-12, But till date there are no plans for construction of Saiton PHSC under NRHM.
And further replying to W. Morung Makunga, minister Jayanta  said that till date the department has not sanctioned funds for the construction of PHSC Leibi in the year 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, however,the PHC Rilram was approved for construction in 2011-12 under NABARD through RIDF.
On another query from MLA Th Shyamkumar, Social Welfare Department minister N. Loken replied that within Andro assembly constituency, at least 168 Anganwadi centre are working and out of these  52 have already constructed buildings and 11 are still under construction.
