IMPHAL, April 19: At the request of the INDUSTRIOUS STUDENTS’ ASSN, Porompat , 28 Assam Rifles under 9 sector headquarters took up the ground leveling work at the TV Tower ground on 05 Apr 2011 . Headquarters 9 Sector provided the earth moving equipments. The locals on their part provided tipper trucks for earth filling and also lunch for the boys of the Assam Rifles during the work period. It was a classic example of civil military co-operation and friendship. The locals were very happy and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam rifles for the commendable job.
