Central officials to review Moreh trade

IMPHAL, April 17: To overview works undertaken taken in the state for promotion of existing Indo-Myanmar trades exchanged between the two countries, a team of two officials led by Dr. Arup K Pujari, Director General of Foreign Trades, Government of India and Basker Sen, Chairman and Managing Director UBI, have arrived today from New Delhi.The two visiting officials from the centre along with the officials of state Commerce and Industries will be visting Moreh border town tomorrow morning by road and will made inspection at all aspects road communication systems that have been implemented by the state government to promote the existing trade exchange between the two countries.According to a highly placed official source, the visiting central officers Dr. Arup K Pujari, Director General of Foreign Trades, Government of India and Basker Sen, Chairman and Managing Director UBI will preside a joint discussion meeting with the officials of state Commerce and Industries which will review status of trade exchanged between the two countries. Later, the visiting central officials along with the officials of the state will made official tour upto Tamu town in Myanmar tomorrow afternoon. The team will return at Moreh and attend another round of review meeting with the officials of state Commerce and Industries at Moreh Trade centre. The team will return to Imphal tomorrow afternoon by helicopter upto Imphal Airport and they will leave Imphal for Delhi by flight, the official source added.
