Chakka Bandh along Tiddim Road

From KaimuanthangLamka April 5: The Students of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Churachandpur, resolved to impose a chakka bandh along the Tiddim  road from 5 am to 3:30 pm on April 6 in protest against the shifting of examination centres to INA Memorial Complex Government High School and to the Pamyala Arts and Science  College , Senpangjar from Ccpur AI centres by authorities.
A decision to this effect was taken earlier during a meeting by parents and students of the  school . The CDSU have also stood by the move of the students according to a released issued by the union. The students of NIOS in a separate statement stated that since the past many years Churachandpur had been having its own accreditted institution , AI, at the heart of the town namely No. 120001 i.e AH School and No. 120018 which is the  Royal Academy Yet things has taken a dramatic turn and they have been left in the lurch with the result that they are to fend for themselves for conveyance to the examination centres the statement said.
It further said on the day of examination that on 6,7,11,13,and 21 a total bandh will be imposed along the Teddim line from 5 am to 3:30 pm There are 1500 NIOS students waiting to appear in their examination but owing to the development may fail to appear. The student appealed concerned authorities to make an adjustment of April/ May examination fees for the upcoming October examination.
