CM inaugurates SBI branch at CCpur

IMPHAL April 2: The Chief Minister inaugurated a new branch of the State Bank of India at Tuibong, Churachandpur today.
Speaking at the inauguration function, the CM said that the need for opening a bank branch at Tuibong has been long pending and is very much needed specially Tuibong being the district headquarters of the district.
The bank branch will facilitate opening of bank accounts for financial transactions of the different flagship programs being implemented,namely Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment among others. The need of opening more banks in the hill districts is the need of the hour and the state government is arranging to open more bank branches for Tamenglong and Senapati district,he said.
He further stated that the newly opened branch at Tuibong will be of immense use as educational loans can be availed by students, and other loans will be available for government employees and businessmen alike. He assured that adequate security has been provided for the bank branches in the hill districts and announced that more banks will be opened shortly.
The function was attended by MP Thangsho Baitae,minister TN Haokip ,DC of Churachandpur Jacintha Lazarus, brigadier Surendra Mehta, G M(SBI) of NE circle Bhaskar Jyoti and other officials.
