IMPHAL, April 19: The employees of DRDA Bishnupur staged a sit in protest today at the office complex of Bishnupur DRDA to mark protest against the imposition of huge monetary demands amounting to the tune of Rs.60 lakhs by one of the underground KCP (MC) Taibanganba group.
The sit-in-protest which was participated by about 60 employees of Bishnupur DRDA including officials today. On the other hand an employees of the DRDA Bishnupur mentioned that, on April 16 this month one unidentified person had submitted a demand letter to N Jayanta, Asst. Project Officer DRDA Bishnupur at his office demanding total of Rs.60 lakhs.
Considering the possible hardship and unability to clear the demanding amount from the DRDA Bishnupur, the staffs and officials of the DRDA have stage their sit in protest today at their office complex.
