Dimapur, April 26:  The Naga reconciliation process has hit rock bottom with NSCN-K and NSCN-IM media war is intensifying on one side and the leadership tussle within the NNC on the other. However, Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) is optimistic that things will be fine.
Talking to Newmai News Network this evening, convenor of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) Dr Wati Aier speculated that very soon the `highest level meeting`  will take place very soon. However, Dr Wati Aier said he was not in the condition to spell out the precise date for the event.
Meeting of topmost leaders of the three Naga underground organisations has been termed as the `highest level meeting.”When asked by this news agency about his view on the present development of media war involving the three Naga underground groups, Dr Wati Aier just termed it as `unfortunate`. “I hope they will halt the issuing of provocative statements in the media against each other,” stated Dr Wati Aier.
It is pertinent to note that there had been encoraging development with regards to the ongoing Naga reconciliation process. As recent as last month, the NSCN-K had expressed its commitment of holding the “highest level meeting” of the Naga underground leaders.
Also last month, NSCN-IM leaders Th Muivah and Isak Chisi Swu had arrived in Dimapur for the `highest level meeting`. However, the meeting of Naga top leaders involving Th Muivah, Isak Chisi Swu and S S Khaplang and also leaders from NNC could not take place due to some `technical` problem. After camping in Dimapur for about two weeks, Muivah and Swu went back to New Delhi.
However, inspite of these blow-hot-blow cold relations of the three Naga underground organisations, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) does not lose its patience. The Forum for Naga Reconciliation is instrumental in halting the three Naga underground groups from the fierce factional clashes that were witnessed in Naga areas until the early part of 2008. The Dr Wati Aier led FNR after its formation had engaged numerous football matches involving the three warring Naga underground groups and Naga civil society bodies. Several conclaves convened by FNR had also been held both in Nagaland and abroad.
