Governor, CM greets people on Cheiraoba

IMPHAL, April 3: The Governor and Chief Minister of Manipur greets the people on the auspicious occasion of Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba festival.
The Governor of Manipur, Gurbachan Jagat, in a statement wished the New Year to usher in an era of peace, prosperity and progress in the state. It said that the Governor is confident that at the advent of a new year, the state will be able to generate strength and confidence, brotherhood and peaceful co-existence amongst all sections of people. Irrespective of caste, creed, language and religion.
Chief Minister, O. Ibobi Singh, in his statement while noting the important traditional festival of Manipur which mars the parting of the old year and the onset of the New Year, stated that this auspicious day all the young people seek the blessings of elders for a happy long life.
It said “let us resolve to set new goals and strive for individual as well as collective wellbeing. Let us also renew our thoughts and work with unity and dedication to make Manipur a more peaceful and prosperous State”.
GOC Major General DS Hooda , Red Shield Division and all ranks of 57 Mountain Division extends their warm greetings to the public on the occasion of Cheiraoba and wishes the festival briong joy,peace and prosperity to the people of Manipur.Regional political party MPP and Janata Dal (United) also sends their greetings to the public.
