HCBA president assures speedy justice

IMPHAL April 30: Newly elected president of the High Court Bar Association, senior advocate N Kumarjit while talking to IFP stated that the association has the aim to improve the overall judicial system of the state.

He said that, the association endorses the stance of the Indian Judicial system to provide `justice at the doorsteps`™ so that each and every individual fully gets the benefit of the law.

Saying that positive developments will be targeted, he emphasized on the need to expand the judiciary while referring to the matter at hand that only two district and session courts are available for the public to address their legal woes.

` We need to make sure that the litigants do not suffer and will press the concern for setting up subordinate courts, so that more judges will be employed for speedy justice in regard to the state judiciary system`, he maintained.

The office of the returning officer of the High Court Bar Association has notified the new office bearers of the association for the term 2011-2013.

N Kumarjit Singh, senior advocate has been appointed as the president of the lawyer`™s association, Ch Dhananjoy as vice president, M Roshni Piba as secretary, RK Milan as joint secretary, Genananda Hijam as joint secretary, Y Nirmolchand,M Hemchandra,Kh Mani, Th Sobhana and S Nepolean as executive members for the term.
