IMPHAL, April 11: A personnel of the 7th IRB presently undergoing training at Pangei, Manipur Police Training School was killed yesterday night at around 7 pm after being hit by a Tata Truck at Waiton auto parking.
The victim is identified as Ningombam Hemanta 24 s/o N Ibomcha of Sawombung bazaar.
Acccording to police source the deceased was walking near Waiton waiting shed when a Tata truck bearing number MNP 5781 carrying firewood knocked him down killing him instantly.
Source further said that the Tata truck is under the police custody of the concerned Heingang Police station. A case has been registered in connection with the incident.
The corpse of the victim has been claimed by the family after post mortem.
