KYKL greets the state on the eve of it`s 17th anniversary

IMPHAL April 23: On the eve of its 17th foundation day to be celebrated on April 25, the proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) has greeted the people of the state.
A release of the outfit signed by it’s general secretary has reflected that the struggle for independence has been met with stiff criticism from different quarters and intellectuals alike, the revolution is compared with a computer system infected by viruses and the society as a person dying of cancer.
It maintained that such comparisons are indeed deserving at the present state of affairs. The system needs to be addressed otherwise the Manipuri society may well fall into extinction.
The revolutionaries and the public need to keep in mind that the viruses affecting the system must be removed and medicine administered to wage a united struggle for independence.
At the present weakened state, finding a means to bring about an amicable solution to the conflict is not the right step and at such a juncture, the strong always win over the weak. Finding pathways to bring a resolve to the liberation struggle is tantamount to digging one’s own grave, it said.
The state has gone through troubled times before but the Manipuri race still survives despite the odds, the need of the hour is to strengthen the policy of the struggle and that will ultimately be the panacea for the ills affecting the society, the intellectuals and public needs to give their comments and show direction to the outfit for the overall benefit, the release states.
