IMPHAL, April 20: Lawyers decided not to attend any sitting on April 21 after Justice TNK was affronted on the petty traffic matter by a civil dresssed security personnel.
According to a reliable source the incident initially happened near Bir Tikendrajit flyover whereby the Justice`s flag car and escort vehicles were denied passage by a Maruti Gypsy driven by a security personnel in civil dress.
Justice TNK Singh, while enroute to Lamphelpat to attend inaugural function of the District Court, had verbal altercation with a civil dressed security personnal on the matter relating denial of passage of way.
Sources further said Justice TNK`™s car and the escort vehicles managed to overtake the Gypsy which blocked the way on the eastern side of BT Flyover for few minutes. The driver of the Maruti Gypsy in question chased the Justice`™s convoy and forcibly stopped near Lamphelpat court complex and had heated exchange of words between the Justice and the driver (security personnel).
The source further said argument between the two turned so intense and ugly that SP Imphal West was called in who defused the situation.
