Motorist killed, another dead body recovered

IMPHAL, April 23: A motorist was killed in a road mishap this afternoon at around 1.45 pm at Palahanbi Meitei Lamkhai along NH-39 near MU Gate.
The deceased has been identified as Angom Gojendro, 60 of Kyamgei Maning Leikai.
The incident happened when the Honda Activa driven by the deceased collided with a speeding Tata Magic passenger vehicle. The dead body of the deceased is being kept at the RIMS mortuary.
In the meantime, Yairipok police has recovered a partly decomposed male dead body from Zouthangmol Hill areas Bungbal village on April 22 and has deposited at the JNIMS morgue.
According to a police source, the dead body was almost decomposed and was found wearing one white colour long T/Shirt and black colour terry cotton long pant and wore no shoes.
The dead body is apparently slim and about 5 to 6 feet tall, carry a bag of Khaki colour, on troch light containing three cell, a Khudei arangbi (stripe with red and white) and blue and black colour blanket (kambal).
It informed that the corpse will be dispossed off after duly observing legal formalities as unclaimed the next day if nobody claim the corpse by April 25.
