IMPHAL, April 15: A Jawan of the 1st IRB was found death on his bed this morning at his barrack located at the Kangla fort.The deceased is identified as M. Pukningjao, 41, s/o (L) Nonseng Nongsong of Kharam Khullen of Ukhrul district.
Police sources disclosed that they did not find any sign of foul play and believed that he might have died due to stroke.
The body of the deceased has been handed over to the Family after post mortem.
On the other hand, a corpse of man was recovered found floating at Iril River along Lilong Arapti Lamkhai this morning around 7am.
The victim has been identified as one Yendrenbam Arun alias Kitna, 30, s/o (L) Budhi of Langthabal Kunja.
The corpse has been deposited at the JNIM morgue however the cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
