Water tariff revised

IMPHAL, April 7: The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has revised the rate for water tariff. However the revised tariff will be applicable only in those areas beyond the juridication of the Autonomous District Councils (ADC).

According to statement a statement issued by the department stated that the tariff for domestic individual connection has been revised at the rate of 150 per month.

For hospital upto 100 beds the rate is revised as 1730 rupees per month while hospitals above 100 beds is fixed at the rate of 2100 per month.

It said that the rate for hotels upto 100 rooms is fixed at the rate of 1860 per month, for schools/college at 600 rupees and offices at 1000 rupees. For Cinema halls/concert hall/theatre it is revised at 760, industries establishment/workshop that is small scale at 200 and Medium and large at 1000.

In the category for tankers it said that for 4,5000 litres capacity the rate is revised at 250 per trip, 450 rupees per trip for 8,000 litres capacity, 500 per trip for 9000 litres capacity and 550 rupees for 10,000 litres capacity per trip.

The supply to private tankers from treatment plants is revised at rupees eight per 1000 litres, bulk supply through pipe at 10 rupees per 1000 litres and trailer tankers 1000 litres capacity without jeep at 100 per trip per day.
