IMPHAL April 13: Youth Affairs and Sports Physical Teachers Association general secretary Tomba Singh in a press meet held at Johnston Higher Secondary School appealed the concerned authorities to book the culprits involved in the arson incident at YAS department, Khuman Lampak yesterday.
Tomba said that the official documents of 119 undergraduate teachers applying for up gradation status has been lost in the fire, many coaches instead of looking after training of athletes and unqualified in administrative affairs have started to take matters in their hands and this had lead to ineffective implementation of sport policies, the institution of deputy director of YAS is fulfilled under all norms and he is a deserving candidate as opposed to other opinions reported in the media ,he said.
He further stressed that the persons responsible for the criminal act of arson in the sports department should be brought to justice at the earliest otherwise agitations will be launced by the Association, he said.
