IMPHAL, May 27: Expressing deep concern over the current state of affairs in Manipur, All Manipur United Clubs Organisation, AMUCO, in a statement, has vowed to fight till the last blood, whenever the territorial integrity of Manipur is challenged.

The AMUCO statement said the unresolved Naga problem has not only retorted the peace talk but created enmity amongst people of neighbouring states in the North Eastern region.

While stating Nagas need to learn lesson from the ULFA peace talk, the AMUCO statement said the ULFA is taking consent and will of the people before submitting a charter of demands to the centre.

Had the Naga apex bodies sought consent or formal approval of the people residing in neighbouring states, their demand of unifying Naga inhabited areas of neighbouring states of Nagaland could have been included in the charter of demands. Due to this, the Naga problem is finding difficulty in reaching a solution. Despite of series of reconciliation meetings, Naga civil organisations continue to disintegrate and hence to distancing from an honourable solution to the existing Naga problem, the AMUCO observed in the statement.

With regard to the idea mooted to set up autonomous district councils in Naga inhabited areas of Manipur in order to achieve the goal of forming a Naga nation under one people, one people formula, the AMUCO said this theory of returning peace would never bring solution.

Government of India`s priority is to keep its boundary intact whatever it takes and their sole agenda is to create enmity amongst peoples of the region, the AMUCO said adding Naga leaders fail to understand this hidden agenda.
