Andro MLA creates record with 25 days community hall

IMPHAL May 5: Setting an example, Th. Shyamkumar Singh, MLA, Andro A/C today inaugurated the 2nd largest multi beneficial community hall in his A/C, which was constructed from his local area development fund within a short span of only 25 days.

A shrine, Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Sanglen, adjacent to the hall was also inaugurated at Angtha, Andro A/C, today. The community hall is said to be the second largest in Andro A/C after one such hall at Koirou Khongjil. Nongpok Ningthau Panthoibi Sanglen was donated by Th.Shyamkumar and his families.

The construction of the hall would give many benefits for Angtha locality not only for religious and other customary ceremonies but also as playground for young boys and girls during rainy days, shades for older generations, etc. said Th. Shyamkumar.

He also gave a strong emphasize on compulsory basic education for young children and the youth in particular. He added that illiteracy is the causes of many anti-social issues in our society.

Th. Shyamkumar presided today`™s inaugural function as the chief guest, Khomdon, pradhan, Angtha GP as the president and K. Nilakomol ZP member, Tulihal as the guest of honour, besides, other dignitaries were also present on the dais. Many invitees and guests, young boys and girls turned up for the function.

Later in the day, Th. Shyamkumar presided as the chief guest in a function to observe the 15th Raising day of Universal Friendship Organisation, Top Chingtha, Yairipok.

The Raising day observation was held at the Organisation`™s Top Chingtha headquarter. Many representatives and members of UFO and other guest and invitees were also present in the function.
